Why CHF 9 — and why it won't last forever.

Sermon Assistant was never built to make money. It was built to put a quiet, sovereign study companion into the hands of pastors — and to keep their work on Swiss soil, apart from the public AI clouds. The subscription exists for one reason: to keep that promise running.

The honest cost of sovereignty

A private study model does not run on goodwill. It runs on a private Swiss server with a dedicated Nvidia GPU, hosted month after month at Infomaniak in Geneva — deliberately separate from the large public inference farms. That hardware has a real, recurring cost. The CHF 9 a month is simply our share of keeping it on. It is not profit, and there are no investors to satisfy.

Underwritten by donors

Much of the hosting is carried by donors who believe pastors should have this tool. Many give specifically so that a particular pastor — or any pastor who asks — can use Sermon Assistant for free. If the subscription is a burden on your ministry, it can be covered. No one is turned away for the cost of CHF 9.

The day it becomes free

Every franc collected goes toward a single goal: buying a dedicated server outright, owned in perpetuity. The recurring hosting bill is the only thing standing between today and a Sermon Assistant that costs nothing. When that server is paid for, the subscription ends — and the tool becomes free for every pastor, everywhere. That is the plan, in plain terms.

Open about where it goes

Because trust is owed to the people who fund this, we will share the hosting sheets and exact hardware specifications of the Swiss server on request. You should be able to see precisely what your support keeps running.

Our mission

Not a product. A provision for pastors.

Sermon Assistant exists to serve those who serve. The CHF 9 a month is not a price tag on Scripture — it is what it costs, this year, to keep a private Swiss server running for you. We are working to make even that disappear.

Where your CHF 9 goes

Every franc keeps a private Swiss server and a dedicated Nvidia GPU running — the hardware that hosts your study model, deliberately apart from the public AI clouds. It is not profit. It is the monthly cost of sovereignty.

Sponsor a pastor

Much of the hosting is underwritten by donors — and many give specifically so a pastor can use Sermon Assistant for free. If a subscription is a burden, it can be covered. No pastor is turned away for cost.

One day, free for all

All proceeds fund a single goal: owning a dedicated server outright, in perpetuity. The day that hardware is paid for, the subscription ends — and Sermon Assistant becomes free for every pastor, everywhere.

Full transparency. We will share the hosting sheets and exact hardware specifications of the Swiss server on request — so you can see precisely where your support goes. If you would like to sponsor a pastor, or ask to be sponsored, reach out.

Support the work. Serve a pastor.

Whether you subscribe, sponsor, or simply share it — every bit brings a free Sermon Assistant closer for everyone.
