Privacy notice

Sermon Assistant is committed to Swiss data sovereignty. This notice explains what we process and why, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the EU GDPR.

Who we are

The controller is Boreon, a registered US company operating sermonassistant.ch. Contact: admin@sermonassist.ch.

What we process

• Account data: your email, and within the app a hashed password and TOTP secret.
• Subscription data: processor subscription ID, status, and plan (no card data).
• Your study content and sermon history — stored on Swiss soil, never shared.

Processors (DPA-covered)

• Infomaniak (Switzerland) — hosting, compute, storage, email.
• PayPal — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Anthropic (Claude Haiku AI) — opt-in only; not active unless you enable it.

Payment data

Card data never touches our servers. PayPal is the processor; we store only their tokens, subscription IDs, and status.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data from your account portal or by email. Deletion suspends your account and schedules purge of personal data, retaining only what the law requires (anonymized).

Cookies

We don't use any cookies. Period.
